Assistant Electrical Engineer

Major Preference:

Science / technology, Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and relevant

Responsibilities:

Serve as an Electrical Controls resource for troubleshooting of production equipment in all areas. Control system troubleshooting will include but not limited to, Programmable Control Systems, Human Machine Interfaces, Robots, Motion Control, Measurement Systems, Instrumentation, Dryers, Kilns, Material Handling Systems, Networks, Computer system hardware / software application support for MES and data collection systems

Serve as a technical resource for questions regarding deviation and interpretation as well as managing changes during off shift activities

Initiate and maintain relationships with production and maintenance to provide first responder Controls and Level 1 I.T. support for the plant

Develop / maintain equipment safety in daily operation, continuously improve safety from electrical/controls

Comply with all safety, quality, and IP requirements, and continuously look for further improvements

Strive for continuous improvement opportunities, to deliver business objectives such as capacity, cost and quality.

Update documents. Provide technical training for related people.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or above;

English CET 4 is a minimum request;

Assistant Process Engineer

Major Preference:

Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Physics, Instrument Science and photoelectrical Engineering and etc

Responsibilities:

Interact and support production

Establishing rigorous process control and discipline within their respective area of responsibility (determine appropriate data collection, process monitoring, control methods, and documented standard operating procedures)

Controlling process variation and making continuous improvements

Investigating and analyzing process issues, providing troubleshooting support, developing solutions, and implementing permanent corrective actions

Conducting experimentation to understand cause and effect of changes

Controlling effective implementation of process or equipment changes

Planning, directing, coordinating and/or leading projects to ensure effective implementation achieving Objectives, completed on time and within budget

Participating on New Products Team planning for new product introductions, ensuring production readiness, establishing capability, and resolving issues

Providing training and certification of operators and technicians in process control and defect detection

Interacting with Corporate, Division and Plant technical resources to exchange and transfer technology of best practices

Assistant Mechanical Engineer

Major Preference:

Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent

Responsibilities

Responsible for equipment high level trouble shooting that ensures production running smoothly

Supervise fabrication and installation of mechanical components

Set up PM, strict implementation and regular monitoring the result

Set up and support spare parts management

Comply with all safety, quality, and IP requirements, and continuously look for further improvements

Provide job related training for mechanical technician & electricians. Take responsibility for building and improving the technical strength of the maintenance team in mechanical/electrical areas

Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Lead a shift of operators on the production floor

Responsible to meet daily production goals for safety, quality, production and cost objectives

Schedule shift resources and prioritize activities for efficient production. Includes: product changeovers, upgrades, experiments, new product runs, training and maintenance activities

Supervise production and maintenance employees and technicians on procedures, policies, and ensure operations are run to standard setpoints

Implement and monitor training, qualification, certification and development programs for new and experienced operators, team leaders

Enforce process discipline and rigorous change control

Communicate and report production and process performance metrics to team, and management

Perform performance reviews and develop and reinforce career and talent development plans for salaried/indirect labor and hourly/direct labor employees

Ensure the protection of Corning s Intellectual Assets (IA)

Between 10 and 30 operators, depending on the shift structure

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree, major in engineering or management related

Capability of leading small groups and willingness to experience a broad set of career challenges

Strong leadership and organize skill as shown with campus or intern experience

Willingness and capability to take challenging, deadline driven assignment when it occurs

Familiar with Microsoft Office

Strong sense of following and enforcing rules. Campus hires will be given structure, and we expect these hires to comply and push the culture and rules to the hourly

Accountant Intern

Responsibilities:

Build up Finance team pipeline through training interns in their support to daily operation and work on special projects

Provide support to supervisor on daily work including closing, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, intercompany transactions, inventory control, ER review, etc

Work on overseas payments and support cash flow management

Support document and data collection for statuary audit and transfer price filing

Work with SOX team to improve internal control environment

Assist supervisor to optimize process and improve efficiency

Qualifications:

Grade 3-4 student in university, major in Accounting/ Finance

Be adept in use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Fluent oral and written English

HR Assistant

Responsibilities:

Global and China Training strategy and system deployment and implementation:

Fully understand all Global and China training plan/programs and tools, can clearly deliver the resources and tools based on requirement

ummarize and feedback issues from plant to support to improve the training system

Support daily training activities and training programs for plant:

Pilot regular/program training plan budget

Lead training classes for new and experienced operators

Track attendance of all employees to meet training objectives. Produce reports and explain results to management

Monitor on-line training systems and problem solve where appropriate

Audit training program effectiveness and document findings

Organize and schedule courses where trainers must travel from different locations, including USA

Help create and improve certification programs for hourly employees

Protection of Corning s Intellectual Assets (IA) in training programs

Engage in projects led by others, and coordinate training needs for these projects

Engage with Engineers, Operations, and Quality leaders to improve training where it is found to be ineffective

Employee (DL) management support : DL hiring and onboarding process support
