Internship Opportunities with Chance Bridge in China 2020

Description

Chance Bridge are looking for a student to join their Beijing office in 2020 for a period of up to 3 months. This internship is available from February to April 2020.

Applicants should have a strong academic record and an excellent level of English. They should also have a demonstrable interest in at least one of the following areas: capital markets law, commercial law, corporate law, competition law, and trans-border investment law. Previous professional legal experience and knowledge of Mandarin Chinese are not essential but will be deemed as a valuable asset.

Applicants should submit the following documents to Yingjie Zhao (yingjie.zhao@), HR specialist at Chance Bridge:

Short CV (maximum one page).

Short statement describing how they meet the specified requirements and how they expect to benefit from an internship at Chance Bridge, and indicating their preference for internship period.

Academic transcript.

The deadline for submission of applications is 5th February 2020 at 23:59 BKG. Soon thereafter, Chance Bridge will contact short-listed candidates with further details about the final interview. Successful applicants will discuss any internship schedule and any other practical arrangements directly with Chance Bridge.

Area of Practice:

The work will be primarily focused on Cross-Border Investment and Financing.

Job Description:

1. Legal research

2. Reviewing and drafting legal documents, legal opinions, etc.

3. Drafting papers for the marketing team

4. Participating in negotiations

5. Giving weekly English training

6. Other duties as required

Requirements:

1. Received or currently earning a law degree

2. Fluent English (native speaker preferred)

3. Some Chinese language ability is a plus but not essential

4. Good skills in legal research and writing

5. Good communication skills

6. Willingness and ability to work independently on assignments

Internship Length:

3 months (Work 3-5 days a week)

Internship Reimbursement:

140-160RMB/Workday or Based on workload.
