Rio Tinto's Shanghai office is seeking a proactive and analytical Strategy & Project Intern to join our dynamic team. The intern will be involved in the development and execution of strategic initiatives and will assist in managing various projects across different fields and customers. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain practical experience in strategic planning and project management.

If you are eager to work in a global team and want to understand the basics of the commodity industry and gain some project management experience, this will be a great opportunity.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

61 Assist in the development of strategic plans and project roadmaps.
61 Conduct market research and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
61 Support the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management.
61 Track project progress and maintain up-to-date documentation.
61 Assist with planning and preparation of stakeholder engagement and project related events.
61 Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support the team.


About you

61 Excellent writing and presentation skills in English and Chinese.
61 Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Management, Economics, ESG or a related field.
61 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
61 Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
61 Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, in particular PowerPoint design and basic Excel functions.
61 Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
61 Self-motivated with a keen interest in business strategy and project management.
61 Availability to commit to the full internship period.
