Job Description:
The Role and Impact
As a Cloud Application Development Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge cloud-based solutions that enhance the user experience and streamline processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include creating scalable, secure applications using industry-leading cloud platforms and frameworks, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. This role will directly contribute to Intel's ability to innovate and stay ahead in an increasingly cloud-centric world.

You will join Intel's innovative and forward-thinking team responsible for enabling impactful cloud technologies. This group focuses on developing applications, architectures, and solutions that leverage the full potential of hybrid and industry clouds. By integrating robust cloud frameworks and DevOps methodologies, the team drives scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions that empower Intel's broader goals of technological leadership and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications optimized for hybrid and industry cloud environments using frameworks and tools from leading cloud providers.
- Implement and coordinate cloud architectures with a focus on application development, identity and access management, data management, and security.
- Define and deploy initial DevSecOps solutions, ensuring integration with cloud platforms.
- Develop and manage web services in the cloud and automate cloud-based platforms.
- Contribute to frontend development using HTML, JavaScript libraries, and responsive frameworks to ensure seamless user interactions across devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
- Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies, tools, and practices to continuously improve application performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering and application development, with demonstrated skills gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of DevOps processes, automation, and cloud orchestration.
- Familiarity with software containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field with no prior professional experience.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and experience in group problem-solving environments.
- Ability to deliver user-centric solutions and intuitive user interfaces.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adopting emerging technologies in cloud and application development.
