About the Role
Here, you're not a typical product/dev intern — you're a future AI Solutions Engineer in training. You'll work directly on real client projects, learning how to use AI tools to drive requirement analysis, system design, delivery, and client communication — growing into an Implementation Project Manager who combines technical depth, business understanding, and delivery ownership.

What You'll Do
- Client Discovery & Communication
Work alongside senior engineers to understand client needs, map business processes, and contribute to solution design. You'll join client calls and meetings — in both English and Chinese.
- AI-Driven Solution Delivery
Use frontier AI tools (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini CLI) to conduct requirements analysis, design technical architectures, rapidly prototype, and deliver production-grade systems.
- Business System Development & Integration
Build and integrate payment systems and AI applications. Work across the stack-front-end, back-end, APIs, databases — and own features from testing through production launch.
- AI Application Exploration
Experiment with and implement AI techniques — prompt engineering, agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) — in real payment scenarios. Push the boundaries of what AI can do in fintech.
- System Operations & Continuous Improvement
Monitor live systems, troubleshoot issues, write technical documentation and operational runbooks, and contribute to making our delivery pipeline faster and more reliable.

What We're Looking For
- Professional English proficiency — you can read technical documentation independently, write clearly, and hold your own in English-language client meetings. (Chinese language skills are a strong plus but not required for exceptional candidates; we will support Mandarin learning on the job.)
- Strong academic background — currently pursuing or holding a bachelor's degree or above from a well-regarded university (e.g., top 100 global, Russell Group, Go8, or equivalent rigorous program). Majors in computer science, mathematics, engineering, finance, or related fields preferred.
- Solid mathematical and analytical thinking — you're comfortable with abstraction, logical reasoning, and breaking down complex, ambiguous problems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, C, C++, Go, Rust, Python, etc.) and familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- AI tool fluency — you already use AI tools to accelerate your own development workflow (coding, testing, debugging, documentation) and are eager to master them at a professional level.
- Strong communication and learning agility — you're comfortable talking to clients, asking the right questions, and driving issues to resolution without hand-holding.
- Attention to detail, ownership mindset, and a bias toward shipping.

Requirements
- Able to work on-site in Shanghai at least 4 days per week for a minimum of 6 consecutive months.
- Willing to participate in client projects and occasionally travel for on-site support.
- Outstanding interns will receive a full-time offer for a Implementation Project Manager position upon graduation.
