Spearheaded by Mr. Yingtung Fok, former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the school’s planning and construction were overseen and funded by the Fok Yingtung Foundation. 广州市维港青藤中学（前身为广州市英东中学）始建于 2004 年，由前全国政协副主席霍英东先生倡议创办，霍英东基金会统筹规划并出资兴建，校址坐落于广州市南沙区滨海新城，紧邻南沙客运港。

Over more than two decades of dedicated efforts, the school has steadfastly upheld its motto of "Patriotism, Moral Integrity, Knowledge Acquisition, and Pragmatism" while embodying the core spirit of Mr. Yingtung Fok—"Patriotism for the motherland and Hong Kong, self-reliance, courage to pioneer, seeking truth from facts, commitment to benefiting society when accomplished, and education as the foundation". In 2024, Jinan University, Fok Yingtung Group, and Victoria Harbor Education Group joined forces to develop a Hong Kong-style international education model based on the former Yingtung School, jointly setting a new benchmark for education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

2025 marks a pivotal milestone in the school’s leapfrog development: Not only was it officially renamed "Guangzhou Nansha Victoria Harbor High School" and forged a strategic partnership with Xingzhi Qingteng Education Group, but the AFFILIATED SCHOOL OF JNU For Hong Kong & Macao Students Yingtung Campus was also launched here—creating a new framework for the coordinated development of high-quality educational resources. Additionally, the school has achieved full coverage of four key curriculum systems: domestic secondary school entrance examination curriculum, HKDSE, AP, and A-Level, jointly embarking on a new journey of "empowering educational advancement and nurturing talents for the new era".
