It was formed in 1987 as a result of a merger between Dorel Co. Ltd., founded in 1962 and Ridgewood Industries, founded in 1969. Dorel Industries Inc. has annual sales of US$2.7 billion and employs approximately 10,500 people in facilities located in twenty-five countries worldwide.
Dorel’s juvenile brands are recognized globally by consumers for safety, comfort, innovation and fun. Dorel Juvenile’s powerfully branded products include global juvenile brands Safety 1st, Quinny, Maxi-Cosi, Bébé Confort and Tiny Love, complemented by regional brands such as Cosco and Infanti. There are 7,500 employees for juvenile business around the world.
Dorel’s products entered China in 2000 through trading agencies.
