Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Environmental Awareness)

Job Description:

This is a position for a person who has enthusiasm in environmental education and protection. The major job responsibility is to work closely with the staff of Whole Person Education Centre School of General Education, to deliver an experiential learning course named Environmental Awareness for university students. Furthermore, candidate is expected to teach in full English. Other job duties include:

1. Coordinate events and activities to promote environmental awareness and responsibility;

2. Coordinate off-campus activities in relation to environmental protection in local or overseas;

3. Give advice to students and student societies on their green activities/projects;

4. Conduct field survey and community study.

Job Requirement：

1. Candidate should have a Master degree or PhD in Biological- or Environmental-related subjects such as Green Technology, Sustainability Study, Geographic Information System (GIS), Biology (incl. Zoology and Botany), Geography and Earth Science, Environmental Study, Environmental Engineering, etc.;

2. Good command of both English and Chinese;

3. Having one or more experiences as mentioned below such as overseas learning/working experience, NGO working experience. Experience in organizing green activities and/or environmental-related research;

4. Good communication skill and team spirit;

5. Knowing nature observation e.g. botanical exploration or bird watching is an advantage;

6. Demonstrable agricultural/horticultural knowledge through work or personal interest is an advantage;

7. Graphic and/or publication design skill is a plus.
