Hainan Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (BiUH) is an innovative, high-performance and international university of applied sciences in Danzhou, Hainan, China. 2.Job Location

At the beginning, the campus is temporarily in Hainan Lingshui Li’an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, China.

The final campus will be in Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Danzhou, Hainan, China.

4.Job Responsibilities

1)Edit and revise articles, press releases, blog posts, and other media content:

Carefully proofread content to ensure accuracy, flow, and consistent formatting.

Refine and optimize content to improve readability and appeal.

Ensure content adheres to the media outlet's editorial style and publication requirements.

2)Contribute to media content planning and creation:

Collaborate with editors, writers, and other team members to understand content needs and direction.

Propose creative ideas and provide recommendations to enhance content development.

Assist in outlining content structure and organization.

3)Manage and maintain media content publishing platforms:

Upload content to websites, apps, social media, and other distribution channels.

Monitor published content and quickly address any issues that arise.

Collect and analyze user feedback to inform content optimization.

4)Support general editorial department operations:

Align with the editorial department's workflow and plans.

Maintain effective communication and coordination with other departments.

Participate in administrative tasks as needed.

5) Basic graphic design:

Creating visual elements suitable for social media, such as cover images, illustrations, posters Producing various text-based graphics, such as product introductions, event posters, holiday greetings, etc. to enhance the visual appeal of the content.

Continuously optimizing and updating the visual design content based on operational needs tokeep the social media pages fresh

6) Basic video design:

Planning and writing video scripts to determine the video's themes and style positioning.

Designing the video's shot composition, framing, subtitles and other visual elements based on the brand image and content requirements.

Recording video footage, including people, scenes, voiceovers, etc. and performing post-production tasks such as editing, voiceover, and adding special effects.




5.Job Requirements

1)Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field

2)Prior experience working as a media editor or in a similar role within the publishing or content

3)Strong writing and storytelling skills, audience-oriented.

4)Familiarity with the various formats and styles of multimedia content, such as videos, podcasts, webinars, and interactive presentations. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

5)Effective collaboration and teamwork skills

6)Know-how in video editing tools and graphic design tools such as Adobe PS, Adobe AE, etc.

7)Patient, flexible, positive, consistent, dependable and cooperative with a sense of humour

8)A team player and able to multi-task

9)Fluent in spoken and written English

10)Fluent German is an extra bonus
