Main Responsibilities:

1. To understand all lab Standard Operating Procedure or Work Instruction.
2. To carry out SA and SBR process/production assigned by Supervisor. Production of the batch includes charging of raw materials, reaction processes, sampling and packing out of finished product from reactor.
3. Actively monitor reaction processes and report any problem of safety, process or quality concerns.
4. To handle equipment with proper care and ensure all processes are carried out safely.
5. To support R&D synthesis lab set up, SA/SBR equipment installing, commissioning and management and assist in administration work.
6. Ensure self-adherence to Synthomer Core Value & safety policy.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

1. Current enrollment in Colleague or Bachelor degree, in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer or relevant majors preferred.
2. 5 days/week；Period: 6 months
3. Be patient and resilient, strong willingness and ability to learn new things.
4. Strong logic thinking and good problem solving skills

In China, Synthomer has more than years’ sales history with customers in all major regions. Our polymers and resins are used in a wide range of applications from gloves to bedding, from waterproofing to powder coatings, from tyres to batteries, from PVC to ABS and many different adhesives. We sell over 15 product lines and are particularly strong in butadiene based emulsion polymers. We established our first trading company in 2011, Shanghai Synthomer Chemicals Co. Ltd, together with a well-equipped applications laboratory dedicated to the Chinese market and focused on construction, coatings and battery applications. The 1000 sqm facility, employing over 50 people, is based in Runhe International Office Garden in the premier location of Zhangjiang High-Tech Park.

In April 2020 Synthomer completed the USD 800m acquisition of Omnova Solutions, a US listed speciality chemical company and as a result its first manufacturing facilities in China, an antioxidant plant in Ningbo and a synthetic latex plant in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, an important next step in the company’s growth in the world’s largest manufacturing economy.

In November 2021 Synthomer completed the USD 1 billion acquisition of US based Eastman Chemical’s adhesives resins business, adding to our portfolio in China a hydrocarbon resin plant in Nanjing, jointly owned with Yangtze Petrochemical Co, and a substantial speclality adhesive resin import portfolio.
