Our Service Operations team is a diverse group of technical professionals who engage with the broadest range of customers. If you have a passion for providing best-in-class technical support and a great customer experience, we invite you to join us as a Senior Field Customer Service Engineer, supporting our Spectra-Physics laser systems in China.
What you will do is:
1. Provide field support for our Spectra-Physics laser systems. You may be in the field to install a new system or provide maintenance service, or use your troubleshooting abilities for repair in the field or in the house.
2. Provide technical support to customers and internal sales and application teams and have opportunities to participate in customer meetings.
3. Provide specialized training to customers on laser systems.
4. Respond to technical questions from our customers regarding system repairs and applications.
5. Stay current with the latest features and upgrades and training of new products and software.
6. Maintain historical performance and repair information and document field service reports.
In addition to your enthusiasm, you will bring to the team your:
1. Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred in optical physics and related.
2. Solid laser knowledge of the Life & Health Sciences, Research, Micro Processing market.
3. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Proficiency with PC skills including MS Office, SAP and data analysis applications.
6. Ability to travel 40% of the time in average domestically.
