Responsibilities：
The Optical Engineer intern’s responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:
Characterize tunable high-speed optical transceivers
Set up R&D stations
Carry on automation in test stations.
Write testing software in Phyton/Visual Basic/Labview
Characterization of optical sub-assemblies (TOSA/ROSA)
Carry on debugging on test stations and modules
Carry on Design Verification Tests. Write technical reports
Support qualification activities
Interact with internal design engineers in US and overseas
Minimum Qualifications：
Master student in Electrical Engineering/Optical Engineering/Physics or equivalent education. Student must be returning to school following the internship.
Desired Qualifications：
Candidates have taken graduate course on optical communications, RF, and/or high-speed analog design. Other relevant areas may be considered
Software Development Experience (Phyton, Visual Basic, Labview, and/or C. C++)
Multidisciplinary background (optics, electronics, RF, communications, etc)
Excellent communications, organizational, presentation, and time management skills.
Team player
Experience characterizing lasers, photodiodes, and active optical subassemblies.
Experience with optical transceivers or transmission optical subsystems
Strong foundation in digital, analog circuit design, and optics. Strong experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with GUI Development, Word Macro/Templates/ Outline/Table, Excel, Matlab.
Lab experience with optical and/or rf equipment
