About the Program
The Rio Tinto Intern Program allows students, like you, to experience day to day life at Rio Tinto. It is an opportunity for you to feel what it is like to be part of the team, working directly alongside our people and explore roles best suited to your skills and aspirations. Our aim is for Interns to:
61 Build exposure to real-life projects and apply technical skills.
61 Build strong relationship through networking opportunities with industry professionals.
61 Learn from world-class online learning materials and other resources.
The intern program offers learning and development activities that enable Interns to transition from study to career. The best part: you will be in our talent pool for the Graduate program.
Intern Program Dates: August 2025 to November 2025
We're looking for students from a range of degrees for different areas across our business including:
61 Engineering- All degrees including Metallurgy, Process or Chemical, Electrical, Control Systems, Mechatronics
61 Sciences- Health & Safety, Environment, New energy related
61 Business- All degrees including economics, Finance, Commercial, Sales Marketing
61 Technology- Data Science, Data Analytics, Automation Software, Computing, Robotics
