About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated CAE Engineer to join our engineering and sales team at our manufacturing plant in the Suzhou / Taicang area. In this role, you will be responsible for performing metal forming, crash and structural simulations in support of vehicle safety and structural performance targets, working closely with sales, product development and design teams across the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
– Set up, run, and post-process metal forming, crash and impact simulations using LS-DYNA.
– Develop and validate finite element models of structural components and assemblies, with focus on aluminum extrusion-based structures.
– Interpret simulation results and translate findings into clear engineering recommendations for design teams.
– Correlate FE models against physical test data; identify and close gaps between simulation and physical behaviour.
– Support design reviews, FMEA processes, and technical presentations to internal stakeholders and customers.
– Maintain and continuously improve model quality, material databases, and simulation processes.
– Collaborate with global CAE teams and contribute to method development and best-practice sharing.

Your Profile
Required
– Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
– Hands-on experience with crash and structural simulation in an automotive industry context.
– Proficiency in LS-DYNA — model setup, solver control, and result interpretation.
– Solid skills in HyperWorks, specifically HyperMesh (pre-processing) and HyperView (post-processing).
– Strong command of both Chinese (Mandarin) and English — written and spoken — for day-to-day engineering work and cross-functional communication.

Preferred
– Experience with aluminum structural components or extruded profiles in passive safety applications.
– Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ECE R94, ECE R95, NCAP, or CNCAP test protocols.
– Knowledge of material modelling for aluminum alloys
– Experience with Abaqus, Radioss, Pam-Crash, ANSA, Primer, or other solvers and pre/post-processing tools.
– Exposure to physical crash or component testing environments is an advantage.
