Faculty Profile:?Haolei Weng is an Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Statistics and Data Science, Southern University of Science and Technology. He served as an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics and Probability at Michigan State University (MSU) from 8/2018 to 4/2026 and was a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University prior to joining MSU. He completed his Ph.D. in Statistics at Columbia University in 2017. His research focuses on high-dimensional statistics and statistical machine learning, with publications in high-impact journals and conferences such as Annals of Statistics, IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, Journal of the American Statistical Association, and ICML. Job Requirements/岗位要求:

1. Have obtained or be about to obtain a doctoral degree in statistics, mathematics, data science, computer science, or other related fields.

2. A solid theoretical and methodological foundation in statistics, as well as strong data analysis and programming skills.

3. Strong English writing skills, as well as sound communication and presentation skills.

Duties and Responsibilities/岗位职责:

1. Work on research projects related to the fields of statistics and data science.

2. Assist the research group in grant applications and undertake associated research tasks.

Benefits and Rewards/待遇与福利：

1. The postdoctoral appointment term is two years, with a comprehensive annual salary starting from 330,000 RMB (before tax, including living subsidies provided by Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City). Exceptionally outstanding candidates can apply for the President's Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship, with an annual salary of up to 500,000 RMB or more (including provincial and municipal subsidies).?

2. Over a 24-month funding period, eligible postdocs can receive a total pre-tax living subsidy of 300,000 RMB from Guangdong Province and 120,000 RMB from Shenzhen City.

?

3. During the postdoctoral period, postdocs can apply for Shenzhen public rental housing through the school. Postdocs who do not use Shenzhen public rental housing through the school are eligible for a pre-tax housing subsidy of 2,800 RMB per month for two years.?

?

4. It provides an excellent working environment and opportunities for domestic and international research collaboration and exchanges. Postdocs are entitled to a total of 25,000 RMB in academic exchange funding during their two-year postdoctoral period.?

?

5. The research group can assist eligible postdocs in applying for postdoctoral talent projects. Successful applicants may receive a maximum total subsidy of one million RMB (this subsidy cannot be combined with provincial or municipal subsidies).?

?

6. For postdocs who relocate to Shenzhen for full-time work within six months after completing their postdoctoral appointment and sign an employment contract of three years or more with enterprises or public institutions, the Shenzhen Municipal Government will provide a living subsidy of 360,000 RMB per person.

?

7. For outstanding postdoctoral researchers who are selected for the Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program or receive special funding from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation during their appointment, and sign an employment contract of three years or more with Shenzhen within six months after completing their postdoctoral appointment, the Shenzhen Municipal Government will provide 1:1 matching funds according to national funding standards, up to a maximum of 300,000 RMB.?

8. For postdoctoral researchers who win Gold, Silver, or Bronze awards in the National or Guangdong Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and sign an employment contract of three years or more with Shenzhen within six months after completing their postdoctoral appointment, the Shenzhen Municipal Government will provide 1:1 matching innovation and entrepreneurship rewards according to the national and provincial reward amounts, up to a maximum of 200,000 RMB.?

9. According to Article 39 of the Regulations on the Administration of Postdoctoral Work in Shenzhen, the funding items provided in these regulations and the living subsidy for newly recruited postdoctoral talents in Shenzhen (100,000 RMB) shall not be claimed concurrently.

1.博士后聘用期两年，综合年薪33万元起（税前，含广东省及深圳市博士后在站生活补助），特别优秀候选人可以申请校长卓越博士后，年薪可达50万元以上（含省市补助）。

2.广东省对符合条件的在站博士后发放每人总额30万元（税前）的生活补助，深圳市对符合条件的在站博士后发放每人总额12万元（税前）的生活补助，资助期为24个月。

3.在站期间，可依托学校申请深圳市公租房，未依托学校使用深圳市公租房的博士后，可享受两年税前2800元/月的住房补贴。

4.拥有优良的工作环境和境内外合作交流机会，博士后在站期间享受两年共计2.5万学术交流经费资助。

5.课题组可协助符合条件的博士后申请博士后人才项目。获批最高可享受总计100万元补贴（与省市补助不同时享受）。

6.博士后出站后6个月内留（来）深全职工作且与企事业单位签订3年以上劳动（聘用）合同的，深圳市政府给予每人36万元出站来深生活补助。

7.在站期间获得博士后创新人才支持计划或中国博士后科学基金特别资助的优秀博士后人员，且出站后6个月内与本市签订3年以上劳动（聘用）合同的，深圳市政府再按照国家资助标准给予1：1经费资助，最高不超过30万元。

8.获得全国或广东省博士后创新创业大赛金奖、银奖、铜奖的，且出站后6个月内与本市签订3年以上劳动（聘用）合同的，深圳市政府再按照国家和省奖励金额给予1：1创新创业奖励，最高不超过20万元。

9.根据《深圳市博士后工作管理规定》第三十九条规定，该规定资助项目与深圳市新引进博士人才生活补贴（10万元）不重复享受。
