Overall Purpose of Job:

The purpose of the Industrial Design Engineer role in Carraro is to design, develop and modify drivetrain products and components that are functional, innovative and optimized for industrial production, integrating technical, economic, and market requirements.

This role sits at the intersection of creative design and engineering rigor, translating customer and stakeholder needs into feasible technical solutions, improving existing products, and developing new ones with a focus on quality, cost, lead time, production efficiency, and sustainability. The ultimate goal is to enhance the company’s competitiveness by delivering industrial products that meet end-user needs and ensure profitability and the effectiveness of manufacturing processes.



Major Responsibilities:

? Design, develop, and improve Carraro products, parts, and components, from concept to production.

? Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and cost optimization.

? Conduct research on materials, production processes, and market trends to inform design choices.

? Participate in the definition and improvement of product design standards and guidelines.

? Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities for new or modified products.

? Liaise with suppliers and clients to gather requirements and provide technical support.

? Contribute to continuous improvement activities to enhance the company’s design and engineering capabilities.

? Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Comply with safety-related laws, regulations, and company rules and policies; specific duties are to be performed in accordance with the comprehensive safety responsibility list for all staff.


Information Security and Confidentiality
Adhere to all information security and confidentiality policies, ensuring the protection of company and client data in accordance with relevant regulations and organizational guidelines.



Key Competencies:

? Proven experience in industrial product design, preferably in the metalworking sector.

? Solid knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and metalworking technologies.

? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

? Excellent communication skills.

? Attention to detail, creativity, and an innovation-driven mindset.

? Available to travel on China and on Intercontinental range for duration from 1 week to 1 month

? High computer’s skills in Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite and internet.

? Knowledge of CAD Tool (Creo).

? Knowledge of CAE (Abaqus, Romax, Adams or similar) and PLM (Team Center) tools is considered as a plus.

? Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles is considered as a plus.

? Fluent in both spoken and written English.



Education and Experience:

? Master Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, materials Engineering or equivalent.

? 3 years of professional experience in the Industrial sector working preferably in the metalworking sector 公司简要介绍：
