Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability KPI & Supplier Engagement Intern to support the Commodity and Sustainability teams in managing the growing sustainability workload. The intern will be responsible for supplier follow-up activities, data maintenance, document tracking, KPI reporting support, and administrative coordination related to sustainability programs.
This role will help ensure high data quality, KPI compliance, and timely completion of sustainability initiatives while enabling the Commodity Team to focus on strategic supplier management and sustainability improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Training Follow-up and Tracking
● Monitor and track supplier completion of mandatory sustainability trainings, including:
● Human Rights Training
● Business Partner Code of Conduct (BP CoC) Training
● Communicate with suppliers via email and other channels to ensure timely training completion.
● Maintain accurate records of supplier participation and completion status.
● Escalate overdue or non-responsive suppliers according to defined processes.
● Prepare periodic status reports and dashboards on training completion rates.
Sustainability KPI Support
● Support the collection, validation, and maintenance of sustainability-related supplier data.
● Assist in monitoring KPI performance and ensuring data accuracy.
● Update and maintain sustainability tracking tools and databases.
● Support reporting activities for internal stakeholders and management reviews.
Administrative and Coordination Tasks
● Maintain documentation and audit-ready records.
● Track supplier submissions and supporting documents.
● Assist in data cleansing, data quality checks, and document management.
● Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of sustainability requirements.
● Support continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier sustainability processes.
Required Qualifications
● Currently pursuing Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
● Strong English Language communication and interpersonal skills.
● Good organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up proactively.
● Strong analytical mindset and willingness to work with data.
Technical Skills
● Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications:
● Excel (data analysis, filtering, reporting)
● PowerPoint (presentations and reporting)
● Word (documentation and communication)
● Outlook (supplier communication and follow-up)
● Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is an advantage.
● Comfortable working with databases, tracking tools, and digital documentation systems.
Preferred Competencies
● Interest in Sustainability, ESG, Human Rights, and Responsible Supply Chain Management.
● Strong problem-solving abilities.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international team.
● Professional attitude and customer-oriented mindset.
● High level of accuracy and confidentiality when handling supplier data.
Expected Outcome
The intern will play a key role in improving supplier training compliance and sustainability KPI management by ensuring efficient follow-up, accurate tracking, and reliable reporting, supporting the organization's sustainability objectives and supplier engagement efforts.
