IDC specialises in China’s fast-growing healthcare sector, creating healthcare products and regulated medical devices for domestic and international markets.

IDC is looking for an exceptional product design engineer to work on exciting and ever-varying healthcare product development projects. You will work from end-to-end of projects, which typically may include: clinical research; creation of compelling concepts; detailed engineering development including prototyping, testing, and improvement; and transfer to manufacture. Experiential training and personal development shall be provided.

You will join a multinational, multidisciplined team working for global clients to create meaningful products that can change lives. You will be required to apply creativity, rigour, and commitment to problem-solving to create outstanding products and user experiences.


Responsibilities
- Understand product design requirements from clients and through research with end users
- Apply problem-solving to design outstanding concepts considering UX, usability, manufacture and aesthetics
- Communicate design solutions to clients through high-quality presentations
- Develop concepts into detailed design engineered solutions using 3D CAD and engineering analysis
- Verify designs through prototyping and testing
- Document the design process
- Create detailed engineering drawings including CMF and manufacturing specifications
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to realise and validate product


Requirements
- The right to live and work in China
- Product/industrial design/engineering degree
- English language proficiency
- Ability to creatively solve challenging user experience, design, and mechanical problems
- Ability to develop concepts into detailed design solutions
- Excellent ability to communicate solutions to others
